ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “POINTING AT THE MOON”
AHEAD OF HEADLINE SHOW AT THE PICKLE FACTORY
21st NOVEMBER 2018
Today, Gazel releases her enrapturing new single, ‘Pointing at The Moon’.
The first instalment in what will be a continued narrative flowing through Gazel’s successive releases from here on, ‘Pointing at the Moon’ opens the story of a teenage girl crossing the desert and further introduces the cast of characters that dwell in her unconscious mind.
Dramatic and compelling, ‘Pointing at the Moon’ is London-based singer producer Gazel’s first release on that journey. A uniquely genre-bending artist and raconteur, Gazel fuses electronic sounds with philosophical influences for a spine-tingling result that she calls “music from a fractured mindscape.”
The team collaborating on Gazel’s Book of Souls includes Haydn Bendall (Kate Bush, Massive Attack), Shuta Shinoda (Ghostpoet, Hot Chip), plus artwork and interactive fiction created by Acid Lake.
Since 2017, Gazel has enjoyed sold-out headline shows at The Lexington, Borderline, The Waiting Room, and Birthdays, as well as playing support shows at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the Hammersmith Apollo.
With a headline date at the Pickle Factory in Hackney on 21st November ahead, Gazel will be letting listeners step into her world as she airs many of the songs expected to form her debut album.
