UNVEIL GRITTY NEW VIDEO FOR: “MISERY”, OUT TODAY – WATCH HERE
DEBUT RELEASE OF THE BRAND NEW LABEL: CLOSEUP
- LONDON SHOW TONIGHT -
“Glass Peaks make huge, catchy, riffy tunes” – Abbie McCarthy, BBC Radio 1
GLASS PEAKS have unveiled a gritty new video for current single: “Misery”.
Inspired by Stephen King’s horror of the same title, the video sees the Kent trio team-up with esteemed Grime videographer Danny Lowman to provide a fittingly intense visual element.
Set in claustrophobic confines, the video sees the band let-loose the chaos of their live performance in full-force and with reverberating effect. Long-time fans may even recognise the setting as the very practise room in which Glass Peaks performed their first ever demo video to surface online; a video which has since stacked-up over 39K views online.
“Misery” is out now as the debut single release of the brand new label CLOSEUP, an innovative collaboration between celebrated LDN live tastemakers CLOSEUP (who coincidentally put on Glass Peaks’ very first show) and the established Modern Sky UK label (The Blinders / Catholic Action).
Punchy and poignant, the “Misery” video is a reminder of both Glass Peaks’ and CLOSEUP’s humble beginnings, but also as the first page of an exciting new chapter they are opening together.
Marking the release of “Misery”, Glass Peaks will be performing in support of London six-piece Bedroom / Boredom tonight at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, London (22 February).

WATCH ”MISERY” BY GLASS PEAKS HERE:
Already tipped for top by the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Abbie McCarthy who had the premiere radio spin of “Misery” on her BBC Introducing Kent show and has publicly praised Glass Peaks as one of her acts destined to break through in 2019. The plaudits follow similar support from respected stations including BBC 6 Music (Tom Robinson, Steve Lamacq), Radio X, and Absolute Radio who have all been quick off the mark to support early-on, whilst previous breakthrough single ‘I’m Okay’ catapulted the trio to the Spotify Indie List for 4 consecutive weeks and in turn the Viral UK 50 Indie Chart. With numerous sold out shows across London and the South East already to their names, not to mention numerous mettle-proving support slots for the likes of White Lies, The Amazons and Maxïmo Park, the band have also established a fearsome live reputation.
