Anchored by Jennings’ strident vocals and a simmering rhythm, ‘Saviour’ is a song about determination and the relentless struggle to carve your own path. Much like the track it accompanies, the ‘Saviour’ video is slick, stylish and hued with a tantalising hint of gothic noir.

Speaking about the inspiration for the video, Jennings says:

“The official music video for Saviour really emphasises the relentless determination to carve your own path, an idea heavily portrayed throughout the song. The high-fashion aesthetic satisfies my desire to be seen as an individual and as someone unique – who doesn’t follow convention. I put the same level of energy into the video as I do for every live performance. It’s important to connect with the audience this way and really convince them that you love what you do and that you’re having a good time doing it”

Jennings Couch is a formidable new talent from London-via-New York and his ear-worm worthy latest single ‘Saviour’ is sure to place him on radars across the nation.

Offering a glimpse into concept behind the new video, Director Cyrus Mirzashafa adds:

”The video for ‘Saviour’ was simply about creating a high fashion aesthetic wherein Jennings could let loose with the sort of performance that epitomised the connotations of the song… A high energy and relentless determination with a slick, cool look! And, bringing this all together was fairly easy as the passion Jennings brings to each performance is seen throughout the video.”

JENNINGS COUCH was born in New York City, raised in rural England and made in the heart of London. His distinctive sound has already found him performing at the likes of SXSW 2017, not to mention earning a wider global audience with shows performing at The Apple Music House and the BBC British Music Embassy. Jennings has also played at the Silk Road Indie Music Festival in Chengdu, China winning the award for ‘Best Song in Show’. Live, Jennings employs pitch-perfect harmonisations and anthemic arrangements that provide fans with rich and varied soundscapes that have drawn comparisons to the likes of The 1975 and Imagine Dragons. Lyrically, he explores a range of philosophical, social and scientific ideas from physics to heartbreak and everything in between.

Whilst his music is cutting edge, Jennings has a singular passion for the Victorian era too. Not only a keen history enthusiast, Jennings is also an antique collector specialising in pocket watches. Whether a result of his influences, travels or tendency towards the obtuse, one thing is certain: in an era of copycat faux-musicality, Jennings Couch is a refreshingly unique proposition. In the coming months, he plans to release more singles with accompanying videos and will also be gigging around London to promote the release of ‘Saviour’ (current dates below). Watch this space…
