RELEASES VIDEO FOR “LOVE HEARTS”
LONDON LIVE DATES THIS DECEMBER
Today, JENNINGS COUCH returns with the stimulating new video for his latest single, “Love Hearts”
Exploring the paradoxes of our perplexingly anti-social social media habits, Jennings here takes in the directorial assistance of Cyrus Mirzashafa to aptly capture the sinister undertones of his freshest studio offering. Watch the suitably eerie accompanying video here and now:
Of the video’s conceptual elements, Jennings says:
‘I liked the idea of creating a cult-like vibe within the song, sort of like a rebellion or movement against social media. This is represented by the ‘cute little pixel faces’, hence the emoji masks.’
Both infectious and intellectually stirring, “Love Hearts” was a product of Jennings growing frustrations with social media and its tightening grip on modern societal behaviours. “The idea that my generation lives, loves, makes up and breaks up online with almost zero human interaction is quite terrifying’ , he explains.
Coupled with the tightly wound guitar motifs and elastically sprung synthesisers that build to a sweeping crescendo, “Love Hearts” once again illustrates Jennings’ talent for a forward-thinking and entrancing studio cut.
With a series of tantalising new releases under his belt, catch Jennings Couch air his latest material and more with a full live band at these following London venues next month:

JENNINGS COUCH was born in New York City, raised in rural England and made in the heart of London. His distinctive sound has already found him performing at the likes of SXSW 2017, not to mention earning a wider global audience with shows performing at The Apple Music House and the BBC British Music Embassy. Jennings has also played at the Silk Road Indie Music Festival in Chengdu, China winning the award for ‘Best Song in Show’. Live, Jennings employs pitch-perfect harmonisations and anthemic arrangements that provide fans with rich and varied soundscapes that have drawn comparisons to the likes of The 1975 and Imagine Dragons. Lyrically, he explores a range of philosophical, social and scientific ideas from physics to heartbreak and everything in between.
Whilst his music is cutting edge, Jennings has a singular passion for the Victorian era too. Not only a keen history enthusiast, Jennings is also an antique collector specialising in pocket watches. Whether a result of his influences, travels or tendency towards the obtuse, one thing is certain: in an era of copycat faux-musicality, Jennings Couch is a refreshingly unique proposition. In the coming months, he plans to release more singles with accompanying videos and will also be gigging around London to promote the release of ‘Saviour’ (current dates above). Watch this space…
