MANCHESTER VICTORIA WAREHOUSE BY ARRANGEMENT WITH UNITED TALENT AGENCY:
JOHN CARPENTER RELEASE THE BATS TOUR
VENUE UPGRADE FOR MANCHESTER AS A RESULT OF EXCEPTIONAL DEMAND
Due to the high level of interest for the John Carpenter Release The Bats Tour this Halloween, the dates announced for the Manchester leg of the tour, which were previously being held at the Albert Hall, will now take place at the 5,000 capacity Victoria Warehouse on Saturday 29th October.
This change of venue will allow for extra tickets to be sold for what is set to be the most terrifying tour yet. Featuring the horror master himself, John Carpenter is responsible for much of the horror genres most striking soundtrack work in movies such as Dark Star (1974), Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Halloween (1978), The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981), Christine (1983), Starman (1984), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Prince of Darkness (1987) and They Live (1988) to name a few.
The themes that drive them can be stripped to a few coldly repeating notes, take on the electrifying thunder of a rock concert, or submerge themselves into exotic, unholy miasmas. It’s work that instantly floods his fans’ musical memory with imagery of a menacing shape stalking a babysitter, a relentless wall of ghost-filled fog, lightning-fisted kung fu fighters, or a mirror holding the gateway to hell.
Victoria Warehouse will be transformed Halloween style, and attendees are encouraged to dress up for the spooky spectacular.
Please note: Tickets purchased for both Friday 28th October & Saturday 29th October at the Albert Hall will be valid for the rescheduled show on Saturday 29th October at the Victoria Warehouse.
Any ticket holders for the Friday event in Manchester who are not able to attend the new date will be offered a full refund. All ticket holders have been notified of the changes and can request a refund up until Friday 29th July. No refunds will be offered after this point.
MANCHESTER – SATURDAY 29TH OCTOBER
This announcement follows on from ATP, who were originally running the tour, statement last week announcing that their festival and live music promotions were closing down with immediate effect. As a result, The John Carpenter tour has now been taken over by the Victoria Warehouse Live Music team by arrangement with United Talent Agency.
