JIM JONES ALL STARS

JIM JONES ALL STARS (fronted by legendary testifier Jim Jones – formerly of Thee Hypnotics, Black Moses, The Jim Jones Revue & Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind – will be touring with new dates this October in support of brand new album ‘CAT FIGHT’ – out now, via Silver Arrow Records.

Following a series of rapturously received dates this Spring, the band will be back with a vengeance this Autumn for dates in Bristol, Reading, Leeds, Glasgow, Stockton, Manchester, Nottingham, Brighton and London. The full list of dates can be found below. Tickets are on sale now.

Jim Jones All Stars are arguably one of the most exciting acts on the circuit today. Led by Jim Jones and joined by former Jim Jones Revue members Gavin Jay (bass) and Elliot Mortimer (piano and keyboards), The Jim Jones All Stars are augmented by guitarist Carlton Mounsher, drummer Aidan Sinclair, Backing Singer Ali Jones and the double-Sax attack of Stuart Dace, and Tom Hodges. Together they create a bubbling swamp curse of unholy rhythm that at once reflects the audaciousness of Fat White Family, the lo-slung attitude of Brian Jonestown Massacre, and the revolutionary spirit of Primal Scream.

The band’s debut album, ‘Ain’t No Peril’, was released in September 2023 to universal praise. Their sophomore studio album ‘Cat Fight’, produced by Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes) is now out in the world too.

Featuring 12 brand new tracks, ‘Cat Fight’ – the first studio album since ‘Ain’t No Peril’ (2023) perfectly captures the claws-out sonic clash and feral scrap of their incendiary live shows. Arriving hot on the tail of last year’s nuclear live outing ‘Get Down ~Get With It’, the Jim Jones All Stars deliver the goods with a new collection that encapsulates their exhilarating collision of Stooges-esque primal rock & roll and sprawling Spiritualized sonic mastery.

On new album ‘Cat Fight’, tracks like “Make It Rain” find the band conjuring an elemental paean; “Born 2 Ride” is a ragged road-trip anthem for a new generation; whereas the scorched-earth sleaze of “I’m On Fire”, the amphetamine charged garage rush of “Goin’ Higher” and intoxicating chaser “Drink Me” are all testament to a band pushing themselves to the limits. Across the album are special guests including Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes) on vocals, Chuck Prophet (on Guitar) and Gloria Jones, all of whom add their seminal qualities to the record.

A breathless warp of vintage textures and far-flung sounds, all delivered with Jim Jones’ guttural charm; ‘Cat Fight’ invites you to grab a ring-side seat and bask in its raw, lawless, unadulterated thrills. Recorded At Bakerland Studios, Leeds and West Eleven Studios, London by Kevin Harris, the album was produced under the masterful gaze of Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes, with bespoke artwork designed by his wife Camille too.

Mixed with a testifying fervour and delivered at ear-popping volume levels, the final mix was contributed by Jim Jones himself and mastered by Nick Page at Forking Paths Mastering, Los Angeles.

Personally selected by The Black Crowes on their ‘Heartless Bastards’ UK & European dates in 2024 and chief support to The Wildhearts on their Spring 25’ tour dates, JJAS have also played multiple Sold Out headline tours and supercharged festival appearances across the UK & Europe.
